**Role Overview**

**Hunter Candles**are looking for a highly motivated **Warehouse Production Lead** to take charge of our day to day production operations. This hands-on role involves managing the creation of our candles, ensuring smooth fulfilment of ecommerce and wholesale orders, and supporting retail coordination with our stores. This role is based in our warehouse in Alexandria NSW. You’ll also represent the brand in customer-facing situations, both online and in-person in our store, and play an essential role in ensuring every touchpoint reflects the heart and soul of Hunter Candles. We are looking for someone to make the role their own, who is excited about small business and a growing Australian brand.

**SALARY: $75,000 - 80,000 + 12% Superannuation**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Production & Fulfilment
- Manage and execute daily production of candles, room sprays, diffusers, and other products
- Oversee packing and preparation of merchandise for shipment
- Fulfil wholesale and ecommerce orders accurately and efficiently
- Accept incoming deliveries and liaise with couriers as needed
- Maintain and communicate clear inventory levels to management
- Initiate and implement process improvements
- Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
- Hands-on training for newly hired warehouse staff.

**Store & Customer Coordination**
- Communicate with Newtown and Surry Hills stores regarding stock needs and product replenishment
- Act as first point of contact for visitors to the warehouse or store, welcome and assist with product knowledge and purchases
- Provide expert product education, care tips, and fragrance guidance to customers

**Customer Experience & Sales Support**
- Ensure a warm, welcoming environment for all customers—online and face to face
- Process sales, returns, exchanges, and provide responsive customer support
- Collect and share customer feedback with the wider team
- Assist with the planning and execution of instore and studio events

**Back of House**
- Maintain organised production and stock areas
- Perform regular cycle counts and report stock movement to management
- Proactively seek out ways to improve processes, efficiency, and customer experience

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar production or fulfilment role preferred
- Previous experience in Shopify preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable standing on your feet for 7-8 hours per day
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and materials (up to 20kg)
- Valid driver’s licence (essential)
- Friendly, approachable and confident in both independent and team environments
- A passion for fragrance and sensory storytelling
- Interest in small business operations and growth
- Creative, resourceful, and always looking for ways to improve
- You must be based in Sydney and have the right to work in NSW.
