**The Role**

Reporting to the Manager Community Planning and Partnerships and based in Windsor, this position is temporarily required to cover a maternity relief. This position is responsible for connecting with the community and developing the stakeholder partnerships necessary to achieve Council’s strategic and operational objectives. The position will foster these partnerships to lead development and support delivery of Council’s social plans and community initiatives that aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for residents and vulnerable population groups.

**About You**

You will have demonstrated experience in the human services sector at a senior level with a sound understanding of issues and trends in the provision of services to young people and vulnerable population groups with a focus on inclusion. You will have proven experience in the design and delivery of authentic community engagement strategies particularly for vulnerable and hard to reach population groups and you will understand the important role that community and government human services agencies provide to the community.

**Essential Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Health or Management or acceptable equivalent qualification and/or relevant industry experience
- Ability to propose and develop policies and procedures at a level suitable for adoption by Council and/or senior management
- Sound understanding of issues and trends in the provision of services to young people and vulnerable population groups with a focus on inclusion
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and constructive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and to work co-operatively with all levels of government and community organisations
- Demonstrated knowledge of the role and functions of community and government human service agencies in providing services to the community with a particular focus on vulnerable population groups
- Demonstrated ability in facilitation and using influencing techniques to persuade and gain the support of others to achieve collective goals
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of authentic community engagement strategies particularly for vulnerable and hard-to-reach population groups
- Experience in the preparation of funding submissions and accountability documentation
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
