
Community Family Support Specialist

This is an opportunity to work with a team that provides critical support to women and children impacted by family violence. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering immediate responses, safety planning, crisis support, and referrals in community and crisis accommodation settings.
The role involves conducting assessments, delivering crisis interventions, and developing collaborative case plans. The practitioner will also connect clients with holistic, culturally appropriate services and community supports, maintain accurate records, and advocate for client safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond promptly to referrals and provide outreach support in community and crisis settings.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent. Experience in family violence or child wellbeing work is highly desirable. A calm and empathetic approach, strong crisis intervention skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. The practitioner must also possess knowledge of family violence frameworks and child protection principles, as well as a commitment to culturally safe practice.
