Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to the Director, Independent Services and the Customer Advocate to manage the assessment of customer advocacy matters, Public Interest Disclosures (PIDs) and reports of potential employee misconduct across the Public Trustee.
- Ensure incoming customer advocacy matters, PIDs and allegations of corrupt conduct are appropriately triaged, assessed, managed and investigated, and ensure appropriate resources are assigned to cases.
- Investigate allegations of misconduct, including the collection, analysis, documentation of evidence and preparation of investigation reports.
- Undertake a program of reviews, analysing the effectiveness of Public Trustee policy and procedures, making recommendations to inform systemic change.
- Preparation of complex reports, correspondence, briefing notes and submissions for senior and executive management on significant issues.
- Engage effectively with managers across the organisation to develop an integrated approach to customer advocacy, ethics and integrity matters and facilitate innovative business outcomes.
- Maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and external investigative and law enforcement bodies.
- Develop and deliver education activities on ethical conduct and customer advocacy matters, in partnership with relevant internal stakeholders, to facilitate constructive behaviours and strengthen a culture of ethics, integrity and optimal customer outcomes across the Public Trustee.
