The Principal Advisor reports to the Manager/Principal Engineer (Safety Technology Programs) and is responsible for managing Road Safety Technology Projects i.e. Vehicle Monitoring Systems, Camera Detected Offence Program, Intelligent Transport Systems and other technology innovation projects.
The role provides expert advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders, particularly in the areas of Road Safety Technologies.
The role conducts high-level strategic policy research and development aligned with national and international best practices, addressing government priorities to enhance road safety outcomes.
The Principal Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring effective program management and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes.
To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have experience in project management and be familiar with the main methodologies of project management.
