Regional Engineering teams are required to provide satellite communications solution design, technical delivery, training and engineering managed services to clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Management and leadership of Engineering Team.
- Manage work assignment, scheduling and operations within operating parameters and budget limitations agreed.
- Ensure that the team meets or exceeds SLAs for contracted engineering services.
- Manage and oversee all engineering procedures and work activities conducted by your regional team.
- Be the /point of escalation for any technical or engineering related customer service issues.
- Recommend product improvements, troubleshooting features and services assurance / performance issues.
- Actively participate in engineering team tasks including bid and tender responses, on-site work and staff rostering for on-call engineering services where required.
- Staff development and mentoring to ensure team skills and technical capability is developed.
- Collaborate with peer managers to ensure best utilisation of engineering resources.

**Essential Knowledge and Skills**:
- Must have 6 years industry experience as a minimum, have experience in IT, satellite communications and IP networking, working knowledge of Microsoft, Linux operating systems.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and minimum 3 years’ experience in management of technical staff.
- Must have qualifications and experience in the development and delivery of workplace technical training and assessment.
- Must be able to develop and manage team compliance.
- Have flexible working hours to deliver all requirements.
- Must be able to work at heights, gaining and maintaining Working at Heights certification applicable for the assigned location.
- Formal Project Management qualifications desired but not essential.
- Certifications in IP Networking

This role requires travel, both domestically and internationally. You must be able to qualify and maintain a government Security Clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
