Regional Engineering Manager | Western Sydney

An exciting new opportunity is available for a Regional Engineering Manager at a Global Satellite Telecommunications Provider. This is permanent position, located in Western Sydney and offers a modern onsite working environment and excellent opportunities for career development.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible for the following:

- Line management and leadership of the staff of the Global Government Engineering Team
- Manage work assignment, scheduling and operations of the Global Government Engineering Team within operating parameters and budget limitations agreed with line manager
- Ensure that the team meets or exceeds SLAs for contracted engineering services and contracted support of G2 managed services customers within the region
- Deliver best-effort technical services to all non-contracted G2 customers within your region
- Manage and oversee all engineering procedures and work activities conducted by your regional team

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Must be educated to Electronics or related Diploma standard or equivalent training with 6 years industry experience as a minimum, have experience in IT, satellite communications and IP networking, working knowledge of Microsoft, Linux operating systems.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and minimum 3 years’ experience in management of technical staff.
- Must have qualifications and experience in the development and delivery of workplace technical training and assessment
- Must be able to understand and advocate compliance with the company’s H&SE requirements. Must be able to develop and manage team compliance with work instructions that meet the company’s corporate as well as local authority HS&E legislation.
- As this position directly supports the company’s customers in a global community who operate 24/7 networks and systems, it is essential that working hours are flexible. The staff-member in this role will be expected to work with their line manager to adjust working hours to deliver services as required by the role while maintaining a satisfactory work - life balance.
- Must be able to work at heights, gaining and maintaining Working at Heights certification applicable for the assigned location.
