Wide Open Road Coffee Roasters is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to lead our our Brunswick Cafe.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced hospitality professional to be our new full time Venue Manager. You will be leading and motivating a team of 15 people as well as working closely with our Head Chef and Head Barista to execute customer focussed service at our bustling Brunswick flagship.

Wide Open Road Coffee Roasters have been roasting and brewing from our Brunswick site since 2009. With an eye for high quality and sustainably sourced coffee. Our company has built a strong culture centred around innovation and creativity. We care deeply about all aspects of hospitality and our community.

You have a deep love and respect for hospitality and love drinking quality coffee and eating delicious food You are a genuine and trustworthy human who can respectfully manage employee HR and frequent feedback processes. You have excellent time management, knowing how to split your focus between service and administration. You have proven leadership experience and desirably have experience in high end coffee.

Lastly, you’re ambitious and eager to continue learning. We have lots of exciting plans and love it when people continue to grow with us.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Leading and developing the FOH team
- Maintaining positive work culture
- Ensuring all employees represent WOR values at all times
- Creating and reinforcing a high level of customer care
- Educating and onboarding of new employees
- Creating staff rosters, budgets, and general cafe administration while maintaining desired outcomes
- Working with the Head Chef and Head Barista to build food and beverage menus
- Maintaining cafe presentation and cleanliness
- Managing stock and general facilities across the venue
- Organising equipment repairs in liaison with other venue heads

You will regularly report both formally and informally to the General Manager and company directors. This is an exciting opportunity with a competitive salary. This full-time role requires at least one weekend day. You must have the right to work full time permanently in Australia.
