Bridge Road Brewers
The Operations Manager acts as the direct liaison between HQ Beechworth and the Melbourne venue, ensuring compliance with company standards while driving revenue performance. This role focuses on accountability, operational excellence, maximizing event and function revenue and financial performance.
- Not just another ops role
- this is your chance to lead, create, and bring bold ideas to life in beer, food, and community.
Bridge Road Brewers is one of Australia’s most respected and innovative independent breweries. Founded in Beechworth, Victoria, we’ve spent the past 20 years crafting quality beer with character - fiercely independent, family-owned, and deeply connected to our community. Our Brunswick venue, located in the heart of East Brunswick Village, brings our regional spirit to the city in a bold, vibrant, and welcoming space.
We’re looking for a thoughtful, community-driven, and action-focused Operations Manager to help lead and elevate our Melbourne venue. If you love building strong teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and being part of something meaningful, this could be the perfect fit.
The Role
This is a leadership role with purpose. You’ll support our Venue Managers and team to thrive, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while nurturing a culture of care, quality, and consistency. From driving great service to coordinating events and maintaining compliance, you'll help shape the venue’s direction and community presence.
Working closely with our General Manager, owners, Head Chef, Venue and brewing teams, you’ll balance the hands-on with the strategic — keeping things running beautifully on the floor, while also driving performance, process and people development.
This is a full-time salaried role with a healthy blend of midweek administrative focus and weekend on-the-floor leadership to keep connected to the team and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the day-to-day running of the venue with a focus on service, safety, and team culture
- Provide guidance and structure for Venue Managers while giving them space to shine in their roles
- Grow foot traffic and revenue through events, activations and community partnerships
- Help evolve and maintain operational systems, workflows and standards
- Drive commercial results - budgets, stock, rostering, and cost controls
- Be a strong presence on the floor during key trading periods, role-modelling great service
- Support our brand values and help deliver meaningful hospitality experiences
What You Bring
- 5+ years in senior hospitality management, ideally in dynamic, high-volume venues
- A calm, clear leadership style that builds trust and brings out the best in people
- Strong understanding of venue operations, compliance and commercial performance
- Experience with multi-channel service delivery (counter, QR, full service)
- A genuine passion for hospitality, events, food, and local engagement
- Great problem-solving skills and a proactive, organised mindset
- Tech-savvy and confident with POS, rostering, bookings and reporting tools
What We Offer
- Senior management salary package + employee share scheme
- A key leadership role in a fast-growing, independent business
- Full support from a values-led leadership team who are hands-on and collaborative
- Opportunities to shape venue direction, events, and local partnerships
- A strong existing team and community foundation to build from
Applications close Thursday, 20 June 2025.
