Procurement Support Officer, Procurement and Business Framework

**About the role**:
The Procurement Support Officer is responsible for driving value for money, cost effective outcomes to internal clients for the department. The position provides procurement advice and support to a diverse range of customers, leads and provides effective relationship management services, and ensures compliant procurement outcomes for its customers.

**About you**:
- Experienced in end-to-end procurement activities, including the provision of advice about procurement sourcing approaches and processes, approval frameworks, policies and control gates to internal clients and stakeholders?

- Customer focused, and driven to improve initiatives, capabilities, and technologies?
**Key Accountabilities**
- Support the provision of procurement services, advice and recommendations to internal clients regarding procurement processes, approval requirements, negotiations and governance frameworks.
- Provide systems administration and assurance, including Procurement Self-Serve, and prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and briefing materials as required.
Strategic planning and project delivery - Contribute to procurement-related projects so that they are completed accurately and on time, in accordance with departmental procedures and requirements.
Risk Management - Monitor and report on identified or emerging risks, ensuring timely briefings and reports to the leadership team - Record risks and actions in the Risk Register.
Stakeholder Management - Work closely with divisional partners, providing responsive, solution-oriented and well-informed advice and support.
Share business intelligence to support strong procurement planning and contract management.
Identify opportunities for capability uplift, and support or lead targeted training as required.
**Qualifications / Specialist Expertise**
Qualifications - A tertiary qualification in fields relevant to procurement is desirable but not essential.
Specialist Expertise - Understanding of/experience in procurement in the Victorian government context, under the framework of the Financial Management Act 1994 and Victorian Government Purchasing Board Guidelines.
