This State Government Department is seeking a Procurement Officer to support timely procurement in compliance with all government and department guidelines.

The Procurement streams to ensure timely procurement in compliance with all government and department guidelines. You will ensure the smooth procurement and contract management of the business and maintain all workflows, records, documents, to ensure best practice management.

About the Role
- Provide oversight and support to the procurement activities, taking the lead on strategic, innovative and sustainable procurement guidelines, procedures and policy.
- Identification and implementation of opportunities for new strategic, innovative and sustainable procurement or shared service initiatives that produce cost savings, operational efficiency and high value product and service for Victorian government.
- Provide supportive leadership, motivating and directing the Contract and Procurement Officers for the delivery of quality and timely outputs and achievement of their growth.
- Lead the monitoring internal procurement systems and processes and ensure that compliance is achieved across the organisation.

About You
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience in procurement, compliance, policy development, contract review and risk management practices and methodologies, preferably in a Victorian Government context.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytic skills which support and enhance procurement activities, systems, and compliance measures.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, advise and negotiate with senior stakeholders, to lead meetings and make decisions within procurement frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a small team, and ability to manage a diverse workload, and competing priorities.
