Melbourne Pathology is one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic pathology laboratories, committed to providing high quality healthcare throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Laboratory Assistant to join our busy Microbiology team. The successful applicant must be quality focused and conscientious, with high attention to detail, problem solving capabilities, good communication skills, and a team player.

Position requirements
- Experience in a microbiology diagnostic laboratory with Australian industry experience would be advantageous
- The ability to work as part of a busy team and unsupervised when required
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Understanding of and commitment to OH&S

Duties include:

- Reception and processing of samples
- Microscopy of urine samples
- Participation in the educational and quality assurance activities of the department
- Running and troubleshooting of automated systems
- Confirmation of your current residency and right to work in Australia
- The notice period you would require to commence employment

This position is a full-time (38 hours per week), Wednesday to Sunday 6:30am - 2:30pm.
