Collections Team Leader

We are currently looking for an experienced Collections Team Leader to join our Dealer and Customer Service Team.

This role is responsible for leading the Collections Team. Your mandate is to ensure the team is provided with support, guidance, achieve team and company results while remaining compliant and in line with VWFS Policies.

This role is also responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements in the Collections Team and ensuring employees are provided with suitable training.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Customer Service and Collections Manager review and update current workflow process maps. Ensure these are followed by staff and cater for regulatory requirements
- Provide training to Collections Agents
- Prepare monthly write off reports for approval by the Head of Operations and MD's as well as monthly management reports for updates on all KPIs and targets
- Identify trends accurately, and devise appropriate actions to minimise impact on VWFS
- Monitor customer call analytics
- Streamline processes
- Deal with and resolve escalated customer complaints
- Analyse reports showing delinquency rates on loans, repossessions and potential losses ensuring actions are implemented when appropriate
- Collections experience and a proven ability to lead and develop a team is essential
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resilience
- Ability to view complex problems from a customers viewpoint and recommend solutions
