**The Opportunity**

Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Road Operations Leader in our Processing and Logistics team based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

In this diverse and challenging key leadership role, you will lead the NSW Processing & Logistics team on a national level to ensure our products reach our customers reliably and on-time across the road network. You will work with road partners to deliver exceptional outcomes that impacts the reliability in the transport of our products, you will lead a small team, motivate and develop our high performing team to meet and exceed our customer needs. You will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives as you drive the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

**What Will You Do?**

While leading your team promoting well-being and inclusive behaviours and having a direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products, this role will see you:

- developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
- supporting operational contractor management, cost efficiencies and prompt service with a view to operational efficiency
- planning & working through large volume fluctuations due to significant weather events as well as critical project timelines
- ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPS) and audit requirements
- identifying improvement opportunities and foster a continuous improvement environment
- providing coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members
