**About the opportunity**:
As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you’ll play a central role in helping Shared Services SA understand and manage risk in a dynamic, high-volume environment. You will lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of risk, audit, and compliance activities - with a focus on embedding a strong culture of governance, accountability, and cyber-awareness.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders across all business units, supporting both strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Importantly, the role also includes a hands-on component: assisting with the day-to-day administration of risk and compliance processes, reporting, and documentation.

**What we’re looking for**

We’re looking for someone with:

- A solid understanding of risk management, compliance frameworks, and business continuity
- The ability to analyse operational processes, identify risks, and translate findings into clear, actionable advice
- Experience preparing reports, risk registers, and compliance documentation
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders and providing training or guidance as needed
- A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail
- Ideally, experience in government, financial services, or similarly complex environments
