We’re looking for a proactive **Compliance Officer** to support the delivery of regulatory services that meet the needs of industry, government, and the community. In this role, you’ll: - Monitor mining activities to ensure compliance with the Mining Act - Support industry confidence through consistent regulatory oversight - Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, community groups, and other agencies - Oversee more complex extractive operations, particularly those with greater environmental impacts This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of environmental or regulatory frameworks who enjoys working independently and making a real impact. **About us**: The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) leads the global transformation economy, overseeing the responsible mining and production of the minerals, metals and fuels of the future, to safely and sustainably generate the energy and low carbon products of the future.
