**Your new company**
Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. Established on 1 July 2020 as part of Victoria’s Fire Services Reforms, FRV will serve and protect communities across Melbourne and Victoria’s major regional centres from 85 FRV fire and rescue stations across the state. Its career firefighters operate from fire stations in metropolitan Melbourne and regional stations, many of which are co-located with CFA volunteer brigades. FRV will proudly continue to work alongside the Country Fire Authority (CFA), which is a community-based volunteer fire service.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Manager Acquisitions and Capital Projects, your role as Property Project Manager will be to undertake and manage the due diligence and acquisition of land for FRV’s significant state-wide expansion to its capital program with the primary focus being metropolitan Melbourne. You will lead all property services in matters relating but not limited to;
- sourcing, negotiating and managing freehold and/or leasehold acquisitions) within infill, brownfield and greenfield locations for new Fire stations and supporting technical facilities.
- undertaking site due diligence including engagement of consultant teams and preparation of well supported and evidenced purchasing or leasing recommendations to executive level
- Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, agents, and valuers to identify new opportunities.
- Overseeing the management of leased FRV properties as well as managing lease renewals and new lease transactions (generally for corporate office requirements).
A project management element of this role will see you involved in the planning, project scoping scheduling and budget management of future building projects including managing stakeholders both internal and external, as well as consultants.
- successful acquisition of sites may result in opportunities to manage projects through construction to completion if desired

**What you'll need to succeed**
The key to your success will be your;
- Demonstrated solid experience in property acquisitions or sales and leasing and associated contractual requirements from experience gained in a real estate, valuations or property development position
- Demonstrated clear and effective communication skills, high level problem-solving of complex or sensitive issues, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong reporting abilities including providing recommendations relating to acquisition proposals
- Strong capability in engaging and liaising with diverse internal and external stakeholders and contractors
- High level of initiative, autonomy, strong work ethic and motivation
- Current Victorian driver’s license
