This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the role to be initially filled on a non-ongoing basis.

Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.

A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

**The Opportunity**

The Executive Assistant works closely with the senior leadership group within the Branch. They are professional and approachable, providing assistance and services to the senior leadership group and a range of key internal and external stakeholders.

They role has work program and stakeholder management responsibilities, working under the general direction and support of senior staff. They are responsible for the effective and efficient management of high-level administration and executive support.

This role may include some or all of the following duties:

- Contribute to a culture that aligns with NIAA values and is dedicated to achieving quality program outcomes
- Provide administrative support for the branch
- Build rapport and maintain internal and external relationships, provide advice and education to stakeholders and colleagues using established NIAA policy and procedures
- Undertake more complex procedural, administrative and service-related tasks that support NIAA business activities, which may include some of the following: research and review, collation of reports, analysis of data, maintenance of information resources or management of a system or process
- Arrange travel and accommodation for senior leaders as required
- Complete personal work responsibilities and offer assistance to peers, to ensure team performance goals are met and quality is maintained
- Identify processes or tasks that are hindering team performance and suggest to team leadership changes and improvements
- Support team members to improve capability by offering on-the-job training and informal coaching
- Create a culturally safe workplace by fostering an environment, observing strategies for working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Executive Assistant requires a high level of discretion and sensitivity to emerging issues. They are organised, adaptable to change, possessing the ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. They demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and achieve results. They may perform additional duties or functions as directed, from time to time.

The Executive Assistant will also have:
