**About this role**
Arup’s South Australian Geography offers multi-disciplinary engineering services covering infrastructure and the built environment. This role’s primary focus will be to work with our established local market leads in Property, Science and Industry, Education, Health, Arts & Culture, Rail, Highways as well as our regional portfolio lead to build a local Building Services (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing [MEP]) brand and presence in Adelaide. The role will also provide technical and project management leadership, team mentoring and work with our local business leads to develop new business with our existing strong client base.

**What will I do?**
- Help to grow a local MEP offering, with support of local business leads, including helping local business leads to win MEP work in the Adelaide Market.
- Help to manage and deliver local Building Services related engineering work (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Lighting, Fire Services). Ensure consistent completion of this work to required quality, budget and programme expectations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry networks, clients, developers, architects, government agencies, sub-consultants and construction contractors relevant to the Group’s activities.
- With the support of our operations leader, help to grow a sustainable MEP team in Adelaide
- Help to provide technical guidance to younger MEP engineers.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar area;
- Proven relevant industry experience of 10+ years, in particular with regard to Existing Buildings within a consulting business environment;
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Chartership with Engineers Australia or equivalent body, or working towards chartership.
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S
