**Role Overview**

Reporting to the Strategic Project & Stakeholder Manager, this role will be responsible for managing the construction phase of Council’s strategic building projects. You will be the primary contact to the lead contractor with regular site visits and the ability to resolve or escalate issues as they impact projects while providing recommendations and solutions. You will be a key contributor for the Strategic Projects & Stakeholder Manager to prepare projects for construction while identifying opportunities for improvements and value adds. Further key responsibilities of the role include:

- Reviewing, creating and updating project documentation in accordance with Council’s Project Management Framework
- Providing summary reporting of project management and project risks
- Undertaking risk assessments and implementing strategies to mitigate risk
- Ensuring Council’s Asset Management System is updated with details of finished projects
- Responding to enquiries from the public and Council staff on all matters within areas of responsibility

**The Person**

This role will suit experienced construction management professionals with a background in managing multiple projects or varying complexity and scope. You will have a sound knowledge of building and associated civil infrastructure and landscaping construction. You will have demonstrated experience in preparing and managing contracts while managing a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
