**Job Description**:
Reporting into the Transport Manager, the Transport Allocator is responsible for daily delivery allocation. This consists of building runs for the delivery team to complete which will need to be delivered to customers’ premises in a timely manner. The Transport Allocator will operate with a continual focus on Safety, Service, Cost and Team. The Transport Allocator will operate and align with company values.
- Promptly report all incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards to the Transport Manager.
- Follow safety and handling inductions and training protocols.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Safe Working Practices (SWPs) as part of the National Safety Plan for all individuals at the Distribution Center.
- Prioritize driver safety.
- Uphold the principles of the Chain of Responsibility.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively within a team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the office environment.
- Uphold and promote high standards.
- Monitor and report NPS (Net Promoter Score) metrics.
- Generate relevant reports as required.
- Optimize the efficiency of Transport operations.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce operating costs.
- Manage day-to-day overtime costs.
- Provide assistance to other areas of the business as needed.
- Fulfill additional tasks on an ad hoc basis as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- More than 2 years of experience in the transport and logistics industry.
- Previous experience in allocation is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proficient in managing compliance with Chain of Responsibility regulations.
- Strong emphasis on safety, with extensive knowledge and experience in safe manual handling.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving.
- Driven by achieving results and targets, with a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and the use of large ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain are preferred, but not essential.
- Experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items is desirable but not required.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Skilled in multitasking with relevant experience.
- Excellent team player.
- Open and adaptable to change.
