**Job Description**:

- Ensure that all incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards are reported in a timely manner to the Transport Manager.
- Ensure you operate in line with safety and handling inductions and training.
- Adhere to WH&S policies and procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that all people on-site at the DC follow all relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) in accordance with the National Safety Plan.

- Establish, maintain and promote high standards

- Ensure Transport operates at its optimum level.
- Reduce operating costs.
- Responsible for managing day-to-day overtime costs.
- Assist other areas of the business from time to time.
- Other ad hoc duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years transport and logistics experience
- Previous allocating experience preferred but not essential
- Experience managing Chain of Responsibility compliance
- Strong safety-focused including safe manual handling knowledge and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability
- Results and targets driven with a proactive can do approach.
- Intermediate level computer literacy including Google Suite, Microsoft Office and the use of large ERP/WMS/TMS systems
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport | Logistics | Supply Chain preferred but not essential
- Experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items preferred but not essential
- High attention to detail
- Good multi-tasking skills and experience
- Excellent team player
- Has no aversion to change
