**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide personal care and assistance to NDIS clients, with a focus on mobility and transfers.
- Use a hoist to assist with transferring the client safely from bed to wheelchair and other mobility devices as required.
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients with mobility and movement within their home or other designated settings.
- Follow individualized care plans and work with other health professionals to ensure optimal support for the client.
- Ensure the hoist and other equipment are maintained and used safely according to health and safety guidelines.
- Record and report on care and mobility assistance provided, documenting any incidents or changes in the client’s condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the client, ensuring their dignity and independence are upheld.
**Job Requirements**:
**Experience and Skills**:
Previous experience in disability support or related field.
**Qualifications**:
Relevant experience in disability support, healthcare, social work, or related fields preferred.
Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and a valid driver's license.
**Characteristics**:
Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience with hoist-assisted transfers and lifting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to client safety.
**Clearances**:
Successful completion of Working with Children and NDIS screening checks.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 38 per week
