Disability Support Worker - Casual (After-School Support)

**About Us**:
Adala Care is a registered NDIS service provider, delivering high-quality support services to individuals across Victoria and Queensland. Our goal is to foster independence, enhance social participation, and provide meaningful experiences for our clients.

**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and active Disability Support Worker to assist clients after school with community access, recreational activities, and life skills development. The role will involve:

- Picking up clients from school.
- Providing transport to activities such as basketball, soccer, swimming, and other recreational outings.
- Engaging clients in physical activities, promoting teamwork, and encouraging skill development.
- Supporting clients in developing social, communication, and independence skills.
- Assisting with meal purchases, financial skills, and public transport training where applicable.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients at all times.
- Providing companionship and positive role modeling.
- Active individuals with an interest in sports (basketball, soccer, etc.).
- Ability to engage and interact positively with young clients.
- Comfortable working in community settings and facilitating social interactions.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children’s Check.
- National Police Check.
- First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- COVID-19 Immunization Certificate.
- Relevant qualifications in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred).
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.

**Location & Hours**:

- Shifts will be after school, typically from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Clients are based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne (Bulleen, Heidelberg, Bundoora, Preston, and surrounding areas).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.5 - 7 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift

- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bundoora VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- support work: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
