- Established in 1997, our client is one of Australia’s pre-eminent fine wine producers, recognised in particular for its elegant cool climate single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. _
- Since 2003 our client has collectively been awarded 34 trophies and over 100 gold medals at major international and domestic wine shows and has been named one of the Top 100 Wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine, US for each of the last six years.**_About the role _**
- This position will manage the current Cellar Door and also be involved in the planning of the new Cellar Door and the customer experience. _
- There will be a focus on world-class customer service, perfecting the wine experience, and direct to consumer sales execution. _
- You will maximise revenue by actively selling product via cellar door, developing a new wine club, direct marketing and sales activities, and providing a high standard of customer service. You will mentor and drive the Cellar door team to grow sales and customer engagement.**_Responsibilities _**
- _Conduct informative and detailed tastings with customers. _
- _Management of the current venue. _
- _Responsible for the achievement of weekly revenue budgets and margin requirements. _
- _Drive the recruitment of passionate, knowledgeable wine people and manage staff and their rosters. _
- _Improve visitation to the Cellar Door. _
- _Work with the Managing Director and Marketing Director on the facilities required at the new Cellar Door and be actively involved in its look/feel and planning of the customer experience. _
- _Work with the marketing team to create materials and content needed for EDM’s, promotions and the Cellar Door. _
- _Manage budget process for Cellar Door with Marketing Director. _
- _Design and administer a new Wine Club. _
- _Maximise Wine Club sales by creating sales opportunities and tailoring communication to members. _
- _Curate an environment of productivity and positive staff morale. _

**_Requirements _**:
**_Education / Experience / Skills _**
- _Tertiary sales / marketing / business development qualification _
- _Formalised wine training _
- _5+ years’ experience in cellar door sales, wine sales or luxury good sales. _
- _Intuitive customer engagement. _
- _Approachable, engaging, resilient and driven. _
- _Excellent attention to detail and striving to be best-in-class. _
- _Direct marketing experience would be advantageous. _
