**Primary Objectives**
To deliver outstanding customer service/experience to all visitors to the Yarra Valley
Hospitality Operation
Supervise staff and provide staff training and mentoring to foster the development of
wine knowledge within the team function
Coordinate and host customer visits and bookings for groups, tours and other
educational experiences
Actively market and promote all De Bortoli products and services to increase
customer spend
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of De Bortoli products and services
Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) policies and procedures

**Key Relationships**
Cellar Door Attendants, Restaurant FOH and Chefs, Administration, Bookings &
Events

**Reports to**
Yarra Valley Cellar Door Manager

**Supervises**
Cellar Door Attendants

**Main Functions and Activities**

**Set up & Preparation**
Check reservations for bookings/tours and staff accordingly- Conduct daily morning brief with all staff to communicate the days schedule
- Ensure Cellar Door is clean, tidy and ready for service
- Open Cellar Door till system and sync to ensure all back end products changes

have taken effect

**Customer service & staff supervision**
Meet and greet customers in a friendly/professional manner and throughout
- the customer visit- Accurate sales /payments processing

**Yarra Valley Cellar Door Supervisor**
- Ensure wine is of standard required before presenting to customer
- Handle customer complaints in a professional manner
- Host tastings, tours and educational groups as required
- Actively market De Bortoli products and services
- Provide supervision and guidance to staff and allocate tasks as required
- Encourage and develop skills of Cellar Door Attendants

**End of Day**
Ensure Cellar Door is left clean and tidy, ready for next days service- Check staffing requirements for following days and act accordingly
- Accurately complete processing of daily takings, reconcile and invoice
- Ensure site is secure and alarmed on departure

**Administration**- Till System maintenance - make changes to prices and add products as
- required- Continuously review and improve processes and procedures as required
- Coordinate and attend regular wine tasting/training
- Assist in stocktakes, inventory control and ordering

**Melba Wine Club**
- Provide quality customer service and assist customers with inquiries in an

efficient, positive and professional manner
- Assist with customer enquiries/concerns in a timely manner
- Assist with administrative processes associated with the program
- Liaise with cellar door manager to complete and accurate fulfilment of all

customer online orders in a timely manner
**Team Work, Trust & Cooperation**
Demonstrate personal respect to others and their work prioritise- Actively participate in team meetings
- Contribute to the goals and objectives of the hospitality team
- Suggest improvements to systems and processes within your department
- Actively participate in relevant change, management and team effectiveness,
- training and development- Support fellow team members

**De Bortoli Policies and Procedures**
Compliance with all Company WHS policies and procedures- Ensure safe work practices, standards and rules
- Report all incidents, near misses and unsafe work practices/hazards to your
- supervisor- Maintain surrounds and all equipment to a safe standard

**Essential Capabilities and Experience**
Possession of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)- Proven experience in supervising and leading teams
- Extensive wine knowledge and sales experience
- High level customer service skills, outgoing friendly personality
- Punctuality and reliability
- High attention to detail
- High standard of personal presentation
- Knowledge of key administrative processes in a sales or related
- environment- Ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
- High level planning & organisational skills, ability to multitask
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Computer literacy and IT skills - The Fork booking system, Google suite,

websites, spreadsheets for reporting

**Desired Qualifications / Licenses**
Relevant studies in wine / hospitality (WSET 2 and above)- Food handling
- Current driver's license
- Forklift license
- First aid & CPR
