We are the **City of Melbourne**, a place to be bold and inspirational. **About the Role** The **Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships** is an integral role responsible for communication, engagement and strengthening stakeholder relationships. Doing so will support the delivery of major projects and programs for the City of Melbourne. Reporting to the Chief Customer Experience and Communications Officer, this role oversees and coordinates engagement with key stakeholders, and leads the key functions of advocacy and partnerships, philanthropy and grants and stakeholder management. This position works with the executive team to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for the organisation to engage stakeholders. The role also supports the work of the Lord Mayor’s Office and Councillors. The Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships is expected to maintain awareness of City of Melbourne initiatives as well as the priorities of key City of Melbourne stakeholders to ensure the organisation can engage, advocate, and implement strategic initiatives. **What You Will Bring to the Role** All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and values. In addition, the position will require: - Develop and implement an overarching stakeholder engagement strategy. - Maintain a strong awareness of the priorities and needs of stakeholders and partners. - Identify funding opportunities and manage grants to support city projects. - Contribute to robust partnerships and strategic alliances in the organisation such as the M9 and Council of Capital City Lord Mayors. - Provide advice and leadership in project and organisational issues management, participating in appropriate governance structures. - Lead the establishment of stakeholder engagement strategies for key projects including the Council Plan and 2050 Vision and manage relationships with various stakeholders, both internal and external. **What we can offer you at City of Melbourne** - **Attractive Remuneration & Benefits**: Excellent pay package with a range of exciting benefits.
