**Your new role**

As a Stakeholder Engagement Advisor, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver:

- Build and maintain effective relationships with the current five business associations who operate within the council during a transition period.
- Implement actions from recently completed audit and service reviews conducted on these business associations.
- Drive positive economic development outcomes in a challenging stakeholder environment.
- Work with a team of highly skilled professionals to support the development and growth of existing businesses and industry within the council.

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Well-developed knowledge of economic development, funded entities (incorporated associations), special rate schemes and small business priorities.
- Demonstrated skills in presentation, research, problem solving, report writing and project management.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in persuading, convincing and negotiating with a range of stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications in business, planning, community development, or a related discipline combined with relevant experience in local government or similar.
- Proven record of building and maintaining collaborative and cooperative internal, business and industry partnerships and deal with complex issues.
