**Your new company**
Based in Melbourne’s North East, this Government department is a leader in scientific research for Australia, boasting an academic environment/ feel who are seeking an ongoing Human Resources Manager to lead both operational and meaty strategic activities.
**Your new role**
- Manage and lead HR operational and strategic activities
- Drive best practice with policies and initiatives, across human resources, workplace relations, workforce planning and recruitment
- Engage and build meaningful relationships with internal (including executives) and external stakeholders
- Provide timely advice on a variety of generalist activities, including; industrial relations
**What you'll need to succeed**
- You will need to be an Australian Citizen
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record leading HR functions
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience cultivating positive relationships across arrange of business units
- Previous experience in either the Victorian Public, and/ or Australian Public Service, however not essential
- Exceptional and proven workforce planning experience/ skillset
