Our client is a reputable têxtile brand located in Epping and Collingwood who are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team on a maternity leave contract.
**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for an HR Manager to join the supportive business. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and working in conjunction with the HR Manager in New Zealand. This is a standalone position in Australia; you will be responsible for assisting and coordinating the efficient and effective delivery of the HR activity.
This position is ideal for someone looking for the next step in their HR career, and tasks will range from employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, remuneration strategy and employee engagement.
You will be required to work between the two-offices located in Epping and Collingwood and manage the end-to-end HR function.
**Tasks include but are not limited to**:
- The day-to-day function of the HR department
- Full end-to-end recruitment process
- Ensuring the adherence with compliance with all existing government legislations and requirements including fair work
- Travelling between the Collingwood and Epping location as required
- Develop and ensure successful implementation of the company's policies, and procedures
- Coordinating the annual employee engagement survey
- Provide support to management on staff performance and other disciplinary issues
- Works alongside the HR Manager New Zealand in ad-hoc project work
- Conducting training needs analysis and provide recommendations
- Assisting with Position Description recommendations
- Analyzing and making recommendations for an Australia-wide remuneration strategy.
- Other duties as required
**Key skills and attributes required for the role**:
- Tertiary qualified in HR or a related discipline.
- Experience in a similar role
- High degree of professionalism and strong attention to detail
- Strong relationship building skills across all levels of the organisation
- You are a proactive self-starter who can work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work to deadlines and have a can-do attitude.
- An extensive understanding of the current legislations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
