About the role

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Learning Design Lead to join the team, reporting into the Senior Manager Learning Design. This role will also lead a small team of two designers who support all Learning Design Leads in the team.

Engaging with influence across senior organisational stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts, you will use your expertise to synthesise business objectives and determine appropriate learning strategies. You will create learning solutions that are contemporary with the modern learner in mind.

An essential component to building a culture of learning is the design and creation of contemporary, effective learning experiences - as such our Learning Design Leads play a key role in achieving this vision.

This role can be based in Melbourne, Adelaide, or Bendigo for the minimum two days per week that you are based in the office, noting that hybrid ways of working are our norm.

**As the Learning Design Lead you’ll get to**:
Design and create contemporary learning experiences and solutions to help address key capability gaps across the organisation
Create learning content using contemporary learning design principles and appropriate content authoring tools (Articulate, Storyline, Rise, Vyond) aligned to needs analysis
Define, measure, and interpret learning impact using a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Manage a team of two - Digital Learning Designer and Learning Solution Designer

About you

**To be successful in the role, you'll have**:
A relevant tertiary degree in Adult Learning (desirable), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or relevant on the job experience)
Extensive and proven experience creating learning solutions in contemporary and creative ways that incorporate adult learning theories, maximise technology, and learning on-the-job
Advanced ability to interpret and define business outcomes, learning needs, and derive appropriate measurement processes
Strong and proven experience in project management, being able to manage and coordinate multiple learning projects into a cohesive program of work
Demonstrated people leadership capabilities
Confidence developing relationships with a complex network of stakeholders to negotiate with influence
The ability to ask the right questions, think outside the square, challenge the status quo, and imagine yourself in the learner’s mindset
