**The role**

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering marketing communication programs to support the growth and expansion HIA’s products and services. This hands-on role develops and maintains marketing and/or communication activities to meet the objectives of HIA’s business units.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assist with the execution of strategic marketing and communication plans for new and existing HIA products;
- Develop promotional materials including print, digital and social assets;
- Oversee and contribute to the copywriting for marketing materials, advertisements, and other related material produced by HIA;
- Assist with market research to determine requirements for existing and future products or services;
- Ensure online messaging is consistent with overall marketing and communication objectives;
- Maintain the administration of the marketing budget;
- Review all outgoing digital communications; and
- Contribute effectively to the marketing & communications team

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly organised and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate:

- Relevant business, marketing or communications degree or equivalent professional qualification;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Marketing Communications role;
- Proven copywriting skills across both digital and traditional media;
- Understanding of SEO practices and Google Analytics;
- Expertise in writing effective creative briefs and effectively articulating objectives;
- Effective written and verbal communication, presentation and persuasion skills;
- Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities; and
- Adaptability and a collaborative approach.

Experience in customer and/or market research would be viewed favourably.
