Oversees the development and implementation of compliance framework including the compliance manual and AML/CTF Program.
- Establish and maintain an appropriate system of internal control with regard to the scope, scale, nature and complexity of the risks faced by the company.
- Foster a compliance culture at the company, promote the compliance and risk awareness of every employee.
- Carry out Compliance Committee meeting and as the Chairman of the committee.
- Arrange and track the compliance training for every employee and to follow up on the CPD training requirements with front office employees.
- Support the business with compliance advisory, clarifying and explaining the regulatory requirements.
- Carry out the Annual Risk Assessment for money laundering and terrorist financing. Assess inherent risks, control efficacy, residual risk and recommend appropriate mitigation actions across all regions globally.
- Ensure the alignment and implementation of the company policies and procedures across the group in all regions globally.
- As the contact person with the regulators for the company and to ensure company registration detail with the regular are up to date.
- Review customer files and approve the opening and maintaining of existing customer relationships.
- Responsible for investigation of potential suspicious activities and submitting suspicious activity reports to local regulators.
- Perform regular compliance controls testing and assess the effectiveness of the controls as well as deciding whether new controls or remediation is required.
- Prepare and maintain annual compliance plan and follow up on the actions in the plan.
- Perform periodic regular of existing policies and procedures as to ensure they are effective and up to date and compliance with current regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain and manage the compliance registers including gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, breach reporting and complaint registers.
- It is expected that all members of InstantiaPay initially help where provided regardless of the department, role or experience
- This role may have a place on the credit committee and responsibilities to the credit team
- This role may be required to help with operations and incoming/outgoing payments where required
- This role may be required to help with trading and treasury where required
- This role me be required to help with HR where required
- This role my be required to help with Junior and basic compliance tasks where required
- This role may be required to help with all aspects of the business as we build and grow

**Required qualifications, skills and knowledge, Competencies**
- University degree in law, finance and/or economics;
- English fluent (both written and spoken), Italian is an advantage;
- Deep understanding of the Australian regulatory environment and expectations;
- Knowledge of international Compliance regulations and international practices;
- Ability to research laws and regulations and provide advice on the applicability within a given environment;
- Deep understanding of the corporate and investment banking business;
- Excellent detailed-oriented skill set;
- Knowledge of financial institutions, correspondent banking and trade finance products and services;
- Positive attitude towards colleagues and the organisation to ensure seamless communication;
- Familiarity with various corporate structures e.g. Funds, Trusts, SPVs, etc is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of local and international Economic Sanctions laws and regulations;
- Knowledge of the Australian AML/CTF Act 2006, exposure to KYC requirement, AUSTRA reporting, Sanctions risks and Anti-Bribery and corruption regulations;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
- Ability to synthetize large volume of information and identify key issues;
- Ability to produce high quality work to meet challenging deadlines;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Good command of Microsoft Office.

**Required experience**
- Minimum six years of Compliance experience either in banks/financial institutions/local regulators;
- Strong knowledge and experience in managing local regulatory requirements;
- Extensive experience in conducting Compliance risk assessments.
- Working knowledge and experience with the Australian Corporations Act requirements and obligations (including relevant ASIC Regulatory Guidelines), as this relates to the provision of financial services by Australian financial services licensees;
- Understanding of the prudential framework administered by APRA as this relates to foreign bank branches with authority to conduct a banking business in Australia;
- Experience with or knowledge of businesses operated by a Global investment bank.
