**About the Role**
- Deliver and help develop inclusive child-led programs and events that develop literacy and foster community connection for children and their families including families at risk of exclusion, with a focus on programs for early years’ children and their parents/carers
- Provide excellent customer service to the community
- Build relationships and connect with organisations and teams to deliver outreach and services to the community with a focus on children and their families particularly those at risk of exclusion
- Use your collection experience to help develop our commitment to a diverse and inclusive physical and digital collection.
**Skills & Experience**
- A tertiary qualification in library and information management, early childhood, education, youth work or community development and/or less formal qualification with relevant experience in working with children and youth
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence is desirable
- Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service, primarily in a library, retail, community or hospitality environment
- Demonstrated experience in delivering programs, activities and resources for early years’ children and their families, including culturally and linguistically diverse families
- Fluency in a Darebin community language would be highly regarded
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
