Darebin Youth Services is currently recruiting for Program Development Officers based at The Hub Youth Centre, located at the Northland Shopping Centre.
There are two positions available, including
- 1x 3 day per week Youth Program Development Officer (workdays: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday)
- 1x 4 day per week Youth Program Development Officer (workdays: Tuesday - Friday)
The key function of the role is to actively engage young people and support their participation in a range of programs and events that enhances education and employment, health and wellbeing and community participation outcomes in line with Council’s Families Youth and Children’s Strategy.

- $76,281.40 + super (pro-rata)

**About the Role**
We are seeking a motivated and experience Youth Program Development Officer to support the development of young people to participate in and connect with Council and Community.
Based at The Hub Youth Centre within the Youth Programs team at Darebin Youth Services and sitting within the Community Services and Development department at Council, you will use your skill and experience to:
- Build meaningful connections and trust with young people utilising a best practice approach
- Plan, deliver and evaluate a range of youth programs, activities and events reflective of Council strategy, local needs and trends
- Provide specific support and referrals to young people via local partners and service supports
**Skills & Experience**
- Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Community Development, Social work or relevant experience working with young people
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of initiatives utilising a community development framework
- Experience working with young people including vulnerable or at risk young people in a Community or Local Government setting
- A current employee Working with Children Check
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR
