**About the Role**
We are a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement Sourcing team. This role will work closely with various stakeholders, including Heads of Business Units / Senior Management, Project Managers, IT teams, and suppliers to ensure the procurement framework is efficient from a speed, cost, and risk perspective.
You will have procurement accountability for several allocated spend categories across Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, and you will work collaboratively with the Local Management team to identify opportunities and implement sourcing activities to achieve savings targets. You will also act as the SME on procurement policies & procedures to ensure the business operates efficiently and in a compliant manner.
This is a permanent full-time position based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
**Key Responsibilities**
The key responsibilities and associated duties of the position include the following:
- Lead procurement strategies and sourcing activities across Oceania, ensuring alignment with business needs through collaboration with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, IT, operations)
- Conduct business needs assessments, market analysis, and commercial risk reviews to inform procurement planning
- Develop and lead sourcing initiatives that deliver value and meet operational requirements
- Collaborate with global teams (including HQ in Japan) to align local procurement with global supply chain strategies
- Plan and lead contract negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes and compliance
- Track and report procurement KPIs to drive cost savings and operational improvements
- Provide expert advice on contract terms, supplier performance management, and procurement best practices
- Support capability building across the organisation through high-level advice, governance, and training in procurement practices
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including industry-specific regulations
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and negotiating SLAs
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks to support business continuity and opportunity realisation
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records, including sourcing decisions and contract documentation
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure expenditure remains within approved limits
**About You**
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement or Supply Chain
- Qualifications in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
- Procurement experience ideally across both direct and indirect categories
- Advanced procurement Skills, specifically in supplier management
- Demonstrated contract negotiation and management capability
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Analytical and curious mindset to challenge existing way of working
- Ability to work and deliver autonomously
