About the Job

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies, following corporate guidelines, business principles and internal controls.

Key Tasks
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies, following corporate guidelines, business principles and internal controls.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate T&Cs where applicable.
- Suppliers’ evaluation and selection, based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and standards.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve procurement strategies and with business objectives.
- Drive improvement initiatives in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and value
- Additional ad-hoc administrative tasks as necessary.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of procurement and contract processes and frameworks
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies along with compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding organisational skills including the ability to manage and priorities multiple concurrent tasks, meet deadlines and to work independently.
