**Job description**:
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to identify and drive the continuous improvement of people, performance, process, and partnerships. The role recommends and leads the implementation key initiatives and coordinates the delivery of the WC Business Plan to achieve our 1-3 year objectives.

The role is a conduit to CGU Operations and supports the prioritisation and delivery of initiatives requested from within and outside of CGU Workers Compensation. It provides a range of services including performance monitoring, customer insights, knowledge management, process improvement, supply chain, people and initiative delivery. It supports and inspires our people to deliver excellence through continuous improvement and the achievement of target risk maturity

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategy**:

- Design and drive the WC Strategic Plan and People Plan including delivery of projects and initiatives through coordination within Workers Compensation
- Design and develop relevant frameworks and plan to support the delivery of reliable management systems and controls that inform continuous improvement

**Operational Performance**:

- Recommends ideas and practical solutions to resolve Workers Compensation operational problems
- Determine and evaluate actionable insights and recommendations that improve business performance
- Support executive manager and service level managers by providing insights into the Workers compensation business.
- Provide business performance reporting and work with underwriting, claims and
- Distribution teams, portfolio & pricing, actuarial and underwriting to understand emerging trends and potential impact on actuarial & financial performance.
- Work with claims teams, executive manager and service level managers to design
- Strategies to mitigate emerging trends and deliver on profitability & performance targets.
- Maintain and present internal data regarding CGU claims performance, market position, customer service outcomes, customer retention and customer movement.
- Ensure the development and execution of business strategy to achieve our objectives.
- Establish protocols for the prioritisation and delivery of operational and strategic initiatives - and allocate and manage resources to achieve our objectives
- Design, implement and evaluate continuous improvement frameworks to accelerate business learning and performance
- Act as a conduit between Workers Compensation, CGU, IIA and Group functions

**Supply Chain**
- Own and drive all facets of supply chain, including contracts, onboarding, performance reviews and providing trends and insights to drive cost containment and improved service outcomes

**Capability and Learning**
- Design and develop the People plan, aimed to drive people initiatives and capability uplift activities.

**People and Customer**
- Deliver process improvement solutions to enhance customer experience, improve business efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance
- Interpret customer service and people performance and recommend improvement plans, establish and drive the People Plan and other relevant frameworks to drive change improvements

**Team**
- Manage a team to drive outcomes and build culture

**Skills & Experience**
- Commercial understanding of Workers Compensation regulation and business model
- Detailed knowledge of Workers Compensation functions and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and operate with agility
- Experience within Business Analyst, Project Co-ordinator, or similar roles
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal, attention to detail
- Relevant industry or specialism qualifications e.g.: ANZIIF, Strategic Planning, People
- Leadership Capability Development
- Ability to analyse data and provide concise reports.
