Service NSW is seeking an experienced DevOps Release Manager to orchestrate our software delivery pipeline and drive continuous improvement in our release processes that impact millions of customers daily.

**About the Role**

As DevOps Release Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end release management function, ensuring seamless delivery of software updates while maintaining quality, security, and efficiency across our digital platforms. You'll play a crucial role in bridging development and operations, championing automation, and optimizing our delivery pipeline.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement release management strategies and processes- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization and automation initiatives- Orchestrate releases across multiple environments and platforms- Manage risk and compliance throughout the release lifecycle- Drive continuous improvement in release processes and tooling- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments- Maintain release calendars and schedules- Oversee environment management and configuration- Implement quality gates and validation procedures- Lead incident management for release-related issues- Design, Lead and mange Process & Quality Management- Provide mentorship and guidance to the release team

**What You'll Need**:
- Extensive experience in DevOps and release management expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab)- Proven experience with configuration management and version control- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)- Strong knowledge of automation and scripting- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication- ITIL certification advantageous

Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required. At the point an employee is notified of our intention to assign them to a role, the relevant leader will discuss headquarter options.

Salary Service NSW Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $$162296 base plus superannuation
