About the role

Join ISOFT Software Technologies Pty Ltd as a Release Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the seamless deployment of our cutting-edge software solutions for our clients. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire release management process, from planning and preparation to execution and post-release support.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing robust release management strategies and processes
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to plan, schedule and execute software releases
  • Automating deployment workflows to improve efficiency and reduce human error
  • Release coordination and Implementation exposure
  • Coordination Skill with multiple skill groups and the Support team, CAB
  • Responsible for the implementation process and continuing to refine by bringing innovative ideas to enhance efficiency
  • Maintain the Release Calendar and conduct weekly release planning meetings with project teams, and track the production deployment readiness.
  • Assist in managing inter-dependencies between various systems to enable the team to adhere to schedules.
  • Produce Consolidated Runsheet for Integrated releases
  • Go/no-go decision facilitation for production deployments
  • Produce the Integrated roll-back plan agreed by the stakeholders
  • Formalise the Hypercare Incident process

What we're looking for

  1. Experience in release engineering or a similar role
  2. Proficiency in deployment automation tools and technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  3. Familiarity with Appian functional knowledge, DevOps skill with CI/CD, Release Coordination, Production Readiness, including familiarity with controls for implementation, e.g. O-Gate
  4. Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  5. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and release management best practices
  6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  7. Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
  8. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
