Release Manager

Hybrid work environment - 3 days in office- Play an important part in creating and establishing the Release Management process- Opportunity to build a high calibre team to deliver Release Management practices

RBA is seeking a Release Manager to oversee the direction of the Release Management Practice, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.

Key requirements are highlighted below:
Release Management Enhancements:
- Enhance release capability by formalising system changes and enhancements in a controlled manner.- Clearly define roles and responsibilities for each release delivery team.- Establish program forward release schedules.- Provide guidelines for managing risks and resolving issues impacting release scope, schedule, and quality.

Process Improvement and Coaching:
- Work proactively and collaboratively with leadership to identify process improvement opportunities.- Review each release scope of work against risk controls to ensure appropriate rigor and consistency.- Support and coach Release Coordinators, and stakeholders in the release management process and related tools.- Lead and co-ordinate the release/implementation planning activities including delivery of Implementation Plans, Readiness checklists, Change Check Point communication requirements and escalation management.

Pipeline Management and Deployment Planning:
- Forward Planning the implementations and releases- Build a pipeline of pending releases with the Bank’s internal stakeholders.- Define and agree on release and deployment plans with the program and impacted business units.- Develop comprehensive cutover plans detailing tasks, timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks.- Work with technical teams and SMEs to understand impacts of site isolation requirements.

Representing and Implementing Release:
- Represent and successfully implement release management practices for the Bank’s environment.

Experience- Proficient in dealing with multiple different vendors and managing release schedules- Developed and managed release calendars, schedules and communicated across different teams to coordinate the releases- Experience in establishing and building the Release Management practice using ITIL as a baseline- Experience with DevOps, JIRA or ServiceNow will be highly desirable
