Established under the _Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance Scheme) Act 2022_ the FAS provides financial assistance through a simple and easy to navigate process that is fair, sensitive, and responsive to victims' needs. It acknowledges the harm done and is trauma informed, inclusive, and culturally safe. The FAS has a dedicated pathway for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of violent crime, known as the Marra Yattakunar Pathway.

Some of your duties will include:
- Managing a team of FAS Intake and Triage Officers in the Marra Yattakunar Pathway, supporting and guiding them to deliver quality and consistent service, including inbound calls on the Marra Yuttakunar helpline
- Managing the daily operation of the specialist intake and triage function, including allocation of resources, management of work, communication with staff, completion of reports, and ensuring that the specialist intake and triage function meets daily service targets and functional responsibilities.
