**About the Business Unit**
- This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a major new initiative for victims of crime. The FAS is a landmark reform that replaces the judicially based Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal with an administrative scheme that prioritises the needs of victims and supports their recovery from violent crime.

**About the Role**
- Some of your duties will include:

- Make interim decisions on immediate victim needs.

**About you**
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
**Technical Expertise**
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community, both society and culture and the issues impacting on it.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal community.
- Understanding of the nature and dynamics of family violence and sexual assault.

**Qualifications**
- A relevant qualification and/or experience in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services and/or family violence is desirable.
- _For Aboriginal Designated and Prioritised positions, a Certificate of Aboriginality (CoA) will be required prior to an offer of employment being made_
