**The Opportunity**

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for building, maintaining, and growing effective business relationships with Workforce Australia (WFA) licensed employment providers, including Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services (DES), ParentsNext and Transition to Work (TTW), and start-up/existing micro-businesses.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Identify, quantify, qualify and generate referrals from employment providers and micro-businesses with a value-add approach.
- Proactively gain opportunities with new and existing channels through strong sales and territory management skills.
- Provide high levels of business development and account management to achieve targets.
- Present Asuria’s corporate credentials, the SEA Program, our key points of difference, service delivery promise and added value services, including education forums and the recognition program to potential and existing clients.
- Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell the range of products and services offered by Asuria to potential and existing clients.
- Actively engage with the industry and government sector to identify and develop opportunities and build strong networks.
- Support the Operations Manager, Program Delivery in the delivery and development of national stakeholder engagement plans where needed.
- Travel throughout the State and Interstate as required to meet with existing and potential clients.

- Broad understanding and knowledge of Workforce Australia Services and scope of services provided.
- Minimum Diploma level qualification.
- Diploma or Degree qualification in the field of sales, business or marketing, preferred, but not essential.
- In-depth understanding of the SEA program and its delivery requirements.
- An understanding of customer-centric service delivery models.
- Demonstrated understanding of information, resources and processes involved in establishing and building a micro-business.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, including report writing as and when required.
- Ability to effectively use technology in the workplace and coordinate administrative requirements.
- Extensive organisational and time management skills and a capacity to meet demands and timelines.
