
Business Development Officer

This is a hybrid role to support both the activities of the New Business and Customer Relationship team in building long and effective working relationships with customer representatives in order to achieve business objectives and superior customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Support:
- New business administration support to the Northern and Southern Region Business Development Managers
- Preparing Whole of Life cost analysis and pricing model preparation
- Developing new business opportunities, and participate in other new business campaign activities, contributing to growth for the region
- The provision of new business support to the Business Development team including support with the preparation of new business tenders
- Elicit, monitor and engage with customers for intelligence to understand their fleet requirements, anticipate their needs and assist the Sales team to gain an advantage in growing business.
- Attendance at prospect and existing customer meetings with BD and Relationship Managers
Existing Customer Support
- In consultation with the Relationship Manager, proactively managing the portfolio to deliver professional fleet management
- Respond promptly and professionally on a daily basis to requests from Customers and Relationship Managers on all administrative tasks relevant to effective fleet management and growth in the business
- specifically:
- Preparing quotations as required within nominated turnaround time; ensure follow through and record the outcomes.
- Obtain order of vehicles from customers
- Administering the vehicle replacement process and re-registration
- Coordination of reports for lease extensions and expiries
- Own and resolve registration, fuel card and fines management issues
- Coordination of transport logistics for returned vehicles with remarketing
- Coordination of mini-lease vehicles as required
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders verbally and in writing to ensure that all parties are clear on expectations, that customer satisfaction is achieved and all parties are kept suitably informed on progress.

- Attention to Detail - Ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently, with significant attention to detail.
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- 2 years Customer Service experience in a customer facing role.
- A high level of keyboard accuracy and a good eye for detail
- Experienced and proficient in data-entry and administrative work involving numbers and prolific detail.
Desirable
- An interest in vehicles and vehicle parts
- Knowledge of the Fleet or Salary Packaging industry
- Junior level experience of business analysis
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Administration related studies (desired but not essential)
