**How will I help?**

The **Solution Design **function in Westpac plays an important role in the development of solution designs and ensures that they align with domain and project architectures.

The **Solution Designer **role is responsible for solution architecture or high-level designs on projects contained within a domain and which do not require the introduction of new technology or are of known complexity.

Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:

- Aligned to a set of solutions within a Domain, with expert skills
- Supports the solution architect in understanding current state and impacts of solution architectures for programs, projects in other domains and complex projects
- Convert requirements into architectures and solution designs that make up the blueprint for a solution for projects that do not require involvement from a solution architect
- Lead alignment of end-to-end design developed by different teams and ensure that it meets business requirements
- Ensure alignment and provide traceability of lower-level design to technical solution architecture
- Confirm the operational service management of designs are fit for purpose

**What do I need?**
- Proven results in mid-senior level functions in the IT Industry
- Knowledge and experience with ITSM modules Change, Problem, Incident and Patchworks
- ServiceNow platform knowledge and experience is a must
- Knowledge in solution architecture, system design and contemporary IT practices
- Background in systems development, support and maintenance
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Ability to quickly understand the functions and capabilities of new technology
- Problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
