**The Role**
Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Sales Manager, your proactive sales approach, ease at building rapport with prospective clients and successful delivery of sales and marketing strategies will see you attract new business opportunities and maximise revenue opportunities.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop strategic and innovative action plans to proactively target key accounts and new business opportunities
- Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to secure business and negotiate contracts
- Identify the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and hotel needs
- Ensure revenue optimisation through effective selling and negotiation strategies
- Develop and foster relationships to encourage repeat business and loyalty
To be successful you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the destination marketplace
- Understanding of the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
- Motivation to sell Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Gold Coast as a leisure and MICE destination
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
