**The Opportunity**

Work for a large corporation that provides services on behalf of varying industries including; health, transportation, justice, defence, and community services.

We are looking for an Injury Management Advisor who will be accountable for assisting and enabling business units to address employee health factors affecting safe work practises in a proactive and appropriate manner.

**The roles and responsibilities of the Injury Management Advisor will include**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of workplace injury prevention and reduction strategies.
- Assist the WSE Specialists in identifying and negotiating suitable duties, including the creation of return-to-work plans for employees with work-related and non-work-related conditions across all sites.
- Create and maintain appropriate networks with treating physicians, insurers, and rehabilitation providers, including evaluation of Serco preferred providers.
- Examine trends in claims/rehabilitation costs and devise intervention strategies.
- Maintain regular contact with injured workers and ensure that all employees are aware of their legal rights and responsibilities in terms of workers compensation and injury management.

**To be successful at this role you will**:

- Have at least three years of experience in workers' compensation and/or injury management, including dealing with state-specific legislation.
- Demonstrate a commercial understanding of workers compensation claims management practises and principles.
- Previous experience with Return to Work (RTW) and/or Health Management Plans.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team to provide an integrated workers compensation and injury management service.
- Knowledge of how to use information technology for injury management, case management, and review.
