**Role**
We are looking for a Head of Data to work lead our clients high performing team to develop, implement and optimise analytical and predictive models. You will deliver a successful and actionable business insights that drives their competitive advantage and market leading performance.

You will create and manage the pipeline of work to ensure delivery within timeframes & ensure effective adoption of projects and outputs. You will champion the data science team to demonstrate the benefits of data science, ML, AI and data engineering in driving improved business outcomes.

This role has a strong leadership component and will be managing a team of direct reports, mentoring and growing the capability of a team of data scientists.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing thought leadership in both using data to solve business problems and in arriving at innovative statistical solutions.
- Ensure quality control and oversight of model outputs within the products.
- Managing both internal and external stakeholders for the successful launch of new product features
- Document business requirements for the scoping design and implementation of all models
- Upskill team members in Data science areas that are business needs
- Work with various teams to onboard them with data driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain state of the art advanced statistical and machine learning models (GLM, Random Forests, GBM, xGBoost, etc) to drive strategies and tactical executions.
- Directing and executing end to end analytic projects along with rest of the stakeholders in the Data Analytics space
- Collaborating with the internal teams to fully understand business requirements and desired business outcomes.
- Engage with business partners to ensure algorithms are delivered and implemented into production systems
- Manage a team of direct reports, with oversight and responsibility for their project delivery as well as capability and skills development

**Key Skills/Requirements**:

- Highly experienced and able to define and execute the data products strategy/road map, develop capability required for the tasks within the team and upskill the team.
- Highly experienced (ideally 10+ years experience) developing predictive models in commercial environments
- Previous experience leading and managing team members
- Experienced with data analytics products
- Experience in developing class-leading algorithms to drive commercial outcomes.
- Proven commercial experience in statistical and machine learning modelling
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced working knowledge of python and SQL
- Experience cloud platforms; AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience in working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams of data scientists.
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science).
