**About the role**:
We are seeking a Full-Time Head Despatcher to join the team at our Head Office in Nambour. This is a pivotal role within the business and is a position that would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving and works well as a team.

This role will include accountability for a wide range of tasks including:

- Despatch drivers, trucks and other response vehicles for emergency and non-emergency responses
- Assess jobs and prioritise according to importance, urgency and risk.
- Communicate requirements with customer service officers, drivers, managers and other parties to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination of transportation demands
- Respond to incoming calls and book in jobs, ensuring timely support to customers
- Resolve customer queries in line with operational requirements
- Data entry ensuring all despatch documents and records are maintained accurately and within required timeframes

**About you**:

- Previous despatch experience
- Sound judgement and critical thinking
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Solid computer skills and quick to learn new programs
- High level of accuracy with an eye for detail and excellent time management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team in a support role
- Transport industry experience will be highly regarded
